Super Bowl LX Road Closures: Your Guide to Navigating Santa Clara, SF & San Jose! (2026)

Get ready for Super Bowl LX, folks! As the big game approaches, multiple road closures are in place in Santa Clara, San Francisco, and San Jose, affecting travel plans and local traffic. But here's where it gets controversial... Let's dive in and explore the details.

Santa Clara and Levi's Stadium

The Bay Area Host Committee has announced that drivers should expect significant traffic disruptions near Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. The main thoroughfares to watch are Great America Parkway, Tasman Drive, and Lafayette Street.

Tasman Drive, which runs in front of the stadium, has been closed since January 28 and will remain so until Friday, February 13. This closure affects both drivers and cyclists. To navigate around this, locals can use Great America Way, Great America Parkway, Lafayette Street, Calle De Luna, and Calle Del Sol. For those heading to the stadium, a regional detour is also available via Highways 101, 237, Montague Expressway, Lawrence Expressway, and North 1st Street.

Pedestrians, take note! Sidewalk access on Tasman Drive will be closed around the stadium, so consider taking the VTA Light Rail between the Great America and Lick Mill stations for a smoother journey. The San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail is also off-limits to pedestrians and cyclists until Tuesday.

On Sunday, get ready for another closure on Great America Parkway between Patrick Henry Drive and Bunker Hill Lane. And on game day, Tasman Drive's closure will extend to Old Ironsides Drive and Lick Mill Boulevard. Prior to the game, pedestrian access on Tasman between Convention Center and Calle Del Sol will be restricted to credentialed staff and Super Bowl ticketholders.

  • Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets
  • Folsom Street between Mabini and 3rd streets
  • 3rd Street between Harrison and Stevenson streets
  • 4th Street between Market and Folsom streets
  • Jessie East Street between Mission and Jessie streets
  • Jessie Street between Jessie East and 4th streets
  • 4th Street between Minna and Howard (two western-most right turn lanes)
  • Minna Street between 4th Street and the InterContinental driveway
  • Howard Street between 4th and 5th (north parking lane)

San Jose

In San Jose, San Carlos Street between Almaden Boulevard and Market Street in downtown will be closed in both directions through Monday. Lane closures are also in place between San Carlos and San Salvador streets. Access to the Hilton Hotel and the San Jose McEnery Convention Center will remain unaffected.

Outside of downtown, Humboldt Street will be closed between South 7th and South 10th streets for 2-4 hours through Saturday, as the Seahawks practice at San Jose State University's fields.
